The 1970s saw the emergence of the concept of street furniture. GHM resumed manufacturing a range of timeless models while developing a new contemporary series at the same time. From 1995, the GHM foundry also started creating tram masts. From its inception in 1857, the company founded by Antoine Durenne has been involved in prestigious projects in France and numerous world capitals (lightning of the Champs-Élysées, Pont Alexandre III, or Guimard subway entrances).
