The Bruoux mines in Gargas invite visitors on a journey to the heart of Luberon ocher to discover the former quarries. A 2,132 ft (650 m) underground course offers a glimpse of the more than 24.8 mi (40 km) long maze of 49 ft (15 m) high galleries dating back to the golden age of the ocher industry. The colored aerial cliffs and the underground labyrinth of galleries form a unique setting combining human labor and the natural character of the landscape.
