The Pech Merle cave is one of the rare Paleolithic decorated caves still open to the public. However, to limit the risk of damage due to the passage of too many visitors, the entrance is limited to 700 people per day. The cave is like a huge art gallery in the middle of nature, with more than 700 engraved or painted motifs.
