To make the steel of the knife blades, the iron ore from waste rock piles of Corsican mines is recovered using stamp milling. Here, the river makes this milling process. The iron ore can, therefore, be directly recovered with a magnet at the bottom of the river, where it drops down by sedimentation. It will then be heated and hammered to be structured in a metal bar.
