The Amédée islet - with an area of 1312ft (400m) long by 885ft (270m) wide - is located 15mi (24km) from the coast of Grande-Terre near the Boulari pass, between the large Abore reef and the Kué reef. It is managed by the private company 'Mary D' in charge of the transportation to the islet as well as the tours and entertainment around the lighthouse. It is part of a non-exhaustive list of islets located in the lagoon of Nouméa, among which are the Canard Island and the Signal, Maître, Larégnère, Ste Marie, Goéland, Ronde, Angel and Mbo islets.
