The Explorers
The island of Gargalo, topped with its Genoese tower, is part of the 919 hectares of emerged rocks of the Natural Reserve of Scandola. It advances in front of Punta Palazzu, a peninsula with rhyolite, ignimbrite and pyroclastite cliffs as well as lahars and rhyolitic organs testifying to the important volcanic complex set up at the end of the primary era.
