Completely isolated from the rest of the world, inhabitants of Rapa have kept untouched their traditions. This cultural particularism, notably, is marked by a strong sense of sharing and solidarity. This peculiar aspect sustains the conclusion of Christophe Serra-Mallol who asserted that Rapa's place was in the top rank of the happiest societies in the world at the end of his inquiry in the island in 2011.
