Oplurus cuvieri, comúnmente conocido como, iguana de cola espinosa, iguana de cola espinosa de Madagascar, o Iguana veloz de Cuvier, es una especie de arbórea malgache de iguana, la mayor de las seis especies en el género Oplurus.
Vive el los bosques tropicales secos de esas zonas.
Oplurus cuvieri, también iguana de collar malgache es una especie de gecko de la familia Gekkonidae. Es endémico de Gran Comora y Madagascar. En Gran Comora es amenazada por la caza y la captura para el comercio de mascotas exóticas. La subespecie cuvieri es la de Madagascar y la comorensis de Gran Comora.
