The winding and deep calanque of Port-Miou is the easternmost of the calanques located between Marseille and Cassis and the only one on the territory of Cassis. While its left bank belongs to the municipality, its right bank is the property of the Solvay company, an advanced materials and specialty chemicals firm. Port Miou calanque benefits from a light nautical base status that allows it to accommodate boats of less than 65.6 ft (20 m) and currently houses 550 of them.
