The Millau Viaduct crosses the Tarn valley between the Causse Rouge and the Causse du Larzac. At some 1,125 ft (343 m) of altitude, it is higher than the Eiffel Tower (1,082 ft / 330 m), and the open view of the valley and the mountains has aroused the desire for discovery among motorists.
