Hienghène region's waterfalls

Mountainous, exposed to the prevailing winds and therefore subject to significant rainfalls, the Hienghène region is full of waterfalls. They run down the black rocks of the high cliffs of the Colnett and Panié mountains through the rainforest. The most beautiful of them, the Colnett waterfall, leads to a small cove of white sand by the sea. Like its neighbour, the Tao waterfall, it offers the bathers freshwater pools.
