Heir to an age-old tradition

The Maison Vilac wooden toy factory is located in Moirans-en-Montagne, in the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park. Founded in 1911 by Narcisse Villet, the site perpetuates an age-old woodturning tradition initiated in the Middle Ages. Maison Vilac is among the rare companies to have survived the arrival of plastic materials thanks to the quality and creativity of its toys. Its methods have evolved and became mechanized, as in the drilling workshop, even though each step is still supervised by a craftsman.
