Heart of Voh, a 'tanne' in the mangrove

The heart of Voh is a natural plant formation belonging to the municipality of Voh, north-west of Grande-Terre in New Caledonia. It corresponds to a stylized heart-shaped clearing of 4 hectares located inland in the mangroves which border the Caledonian lagoon. The marine water penetrating there only during the high tides, the vegetation has given way to bare and over-salted areas called 'tannes'.
