Covering an area of 81,000 hectares, the Regional Natural Park of the Loops of the Seine Normande extends over the two departments of Upper-Normandy, namely Eure and Seine-Maritime. Pont Audemer is considered to be one of the gateways to the park with the Risle valley which flows into the estuary of the Seine. The park was created in 1974 in order to protect and create a green lung between Paris and the industrial and port activities of the Basse-Seine. Pont Audemer is one of the park's unmissable gems.
