Burchell's zebra, or Plains zebra, is the most common. Unlike the Grevy Zebra or the Mountains Zebra, it is the only one not to have a white belly. Its black and white stripes meet under its belly. To identify if a zebra is in good health, you just have to see the look of its mane. If it stands erect on its neck, it means the animal is healthy. On the contrary, the mane tends to flop.
