Harnesses and hitch line
0
0
Sled dogs are attached to the center line of the team by necklines and tuglines (tail lines). For this purpose, they are equipped with traction harnesses to which these lines are fixed by snaps. The hitch harnesses whose straps form an X on the dog's back are X-back type harnesses. At the time of departure, the musher will look for each dog one by one in his enclosure to place him at his post and put on his harness.
