Guide at Mont-Saint-Michel

François Saint-James, guide-lecturer at the Mont since 1989, recently revealed the results of his research into the monks’ treasure. After spending many hours studying the archives, the lecturer announced that he had found the trace of the famous treasure, which was nevertheless diminished during the Hundred Years’ War. Consisting of relics, statues, crucifixes, or coins, the treasure would be kept in two hiding places: one under the altar of the Saint-Gervais Basilica in Avranches, the other in the Saint-Aubert Chapel, at the foot of Mont-Saint-Michel.
