The pennant coralfish (Heniochus acuminatus) is a small fish of about 15cm with a white laterally compressed body crossed by 2 vertical black strips and yellow fins. Its white forward stretched head has a small terminal protractile mouth. Its black eyes are connected by a black band. It lives in pairs in the relatively deep waters of lagoons, passes, outer reef slopes where it feeds on zooplankton and benthic invertebrates.
