Grey Seals in the North Sea
5
0
A grey seal (Halichoerus grypus) pops his head up out of the water, in front of the colony at the Engelschhoek sandbank, on the border of both the Wadden Sea and the North Sea.
The sandbank is situated in between the islands of Terschelling and Vlieland, in the most northern parts of the Netherlands.
Grey seals are pretty tough as they can easily swim from the Wadden Sea to England and back again. They’re very curious and lots of fun to photograph.
Wish I could have gone closer (or brought a longer lens ;)). Maybe next time!
