The chapel of Notre-Dame de Beauvoir forms a barely visible oasis of greenery in the heart of the very mineral massif of Montdenier. It dominates the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie to which it is connected by a hillside Way of the Cross made up of a 262 steps stone staircase and fourteen stations. Situated between heaven and earth, it had the reputation of reviving stillborn infants during their baptism and was known for its 'arousals'.
