Desolation and solitude in a photo. As we are confined now and physically disconnected from other human beings we were quite disconnected from any form of civilisation here on Kubu Island. Its thousands-year-old baobabs rise like giants from the barren Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in Botswana. Where once used to be a giant lake, tectonic activity has cut of all the water that used to flow here. A tough landscape for humans and animals alike... Sacred...
