Rusa deers (Cervus timorensis russa) graze all types of vegetation, from woody trees located in the forest or at its edge, such as young kaori (Agathis moreii) plants, lianas or joinvilleas to various herbaceous species. Their digestibility rate of organic matter is however low (49%) and that of proteins is average (1.4oz/41g of digestible nitrogenous matter per kilo/35oz of dry matter).
