Grasse's jasmine fields

Between June and October, the perfumer Laurence Fanuel regularly walks through the jasmine fields of Grasse to check the maturity of the flowers. Jasminum grandiflorum is a semi-climbing, bushy plant with very dense foliage of the Oleaceae family. Its flowers, which bloom in summer and have been celebrated every year since 1946 during the first weekend of August, are grouped together in loose cymes at the level of the leaves or the end of the stem.
