Grasse jasmine cultivation

To preserve its core business in perfumery and justify the inclusion of the Grasse region as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pays de Grasse urban community has decided to dedicate land areas to perfume plants. Such an initiative particularly aimed at relaunching the culture of May rose and Grasse jasmine dear to Laurence Fanuel and Christophe Mege (photo). Grasse jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum) is grown on rich and cool soils, well-drained and sheltered from the wind. It comes in the form of a bushy shrub with dense deciduous to semi-evergreen foliage.
