In the wild, the longevity of the greater kudu is about 14 years. Lions, leopards, hyenas and wild dogs are its main predators, especially for young animals. Slow on flat ground, it is fast on rough terrain thanks to its adapted hooves. Adult males live as single and only join females during the mating season.
