The schools of fish provide an example of collective intelligence in which the group coordinates without the need for a leader and the global order does not imply any apparent hierarchy. There are two types of interaction between the individuals : an attraction interaction which reforms the school when the fish move away and an alignment interaction where each one follows the direction of the probes produced by its neighbor's movements.
