Cette plante de la famille des Lamiacées porte bien son nom vernaculaire : Lierre terrestre. C’est une plante couvre-sol qui assure sa multiplication par stolons (tiges aériennes qui poussent au niveau du sol) bien visibles sur la photo. Les stolons sont émis par la plante mère, qui alimente les plantes filles. Lorsque celles-ci sont en capacité de produire leurs propres biomolécules, le stolon s’assèche et la plante fille devient indépendante.
