The giraffe is exclusively herbivorous. It feeds mainly on acacia leaves that contain most of the water it needs. It can also eat flowers, pods, grains and fruits. It can consume daily up to 154.3lbs (70kg) of leaves that cannot be grazed by other herbivores of the savannah.
