Located between Reims and Epernay, the Montagne de Reims, with its 8,000 hectares of vines, is one of the four main production regions of the Champagne appellation, along with the Vallée de la Marne, the Côte des Blancs, and the Côte des Bar. This forested plateau – whose highest point, Mount Sinai, is 286 metres high – is bordered by gently-sloping hillsides. Its slopes are north-facing but benefit from the heat of the day, which falls in the evening, creating a cool temperate climate that is ideal for growing Pinot Noir.
