As the whole Massif de l'Estérel, the Pic d'Aurelles displays a red rock mainly composed of rhyolite. The Mediterranean coast appears behind the peak culminating at 1,059 ft (323 m) above sea level. In the foreground extends the municipality of Le Trayas, whose scattered habitat covers the slopes of the Pointe de la Paume while, in the rear, the Gulf of La Napoule is prolonged by the Bay of Cannes.
