The Terre de Lin cooperative specialises in the cultivation and processing of fibre flax, from seed to fibre. Based in Haute-Normandie, it is one of the major players in the flax sector. The cooperative is committed to innovating and perfecting traditional cultivation and scutching techniques (the operation that transforms flax straw into scutched flax and tow, as seen in the photo,). Among other improved techniques are that of field winding, of all steps from unrolling to scutching, and of seed harvesting by uncapping.
