From Saint-Joseph beach to the Sharks Pass

Saint-Joseph beach provides access to the far north of the island of Ohwen separated from that of Unyee by the Sharks Pass. Spawning in the region in great numbers, the lemon sharks, lagoon black and white fins or coral sharks approach a few meters from the shore in the transparent waters. 'False tobacco', a plant which cures the ciguatera disease conveyed by fish, is also found along the beach.
