From a store to a decorated restaurant

The Buerehiesel used to be a grocery store in Molsheim. This typical house from 1604 was selected to be rebuilt in the Parc de l'Orangerie for the 1895 Industrial Exhibition in Strasbourg. It was dismantled stone by stone, and its vegetable garden was also transported. Succeeding his parents as head of the restaurant in 2007, Eric Westermann made Buerehiesel a reference of Alsatian gastronomy. Transformed in 2018 for its 30th anniversary, the glass wall stands amid lush green vegetation.
