From a place of worship to a cultural facility

In June 2015, the Moatti & Rivière agency won the project management competition organized for the creation of cultural equipment in place of the former congregation of the Franciscaines sisters. This large-scale architectural project was set up around the old cloister to transform the former place of worship into an innovative cultural facility. Work began in 2018, and the Les Franciscaines installation officially opened to the public on May 12, 2021. A key element of the decor, its monumental chandelier consists of 14,285 polycarbonate tubes.
