La Cité du Train in Mulhouse tells the story of the railway world from the first steam locomotives to the Euroduplex TGV in 2013. Numerous spaces and activities allow a better understanding of the importance of rail in France's history. Over 3.21 acres (13,000 m²), the Quais de l'Histoire (Platforms of History) area exhibits 64 historic trains and cars, some from the Orient Express or the private train of Emperor Napoleon III.
