Frédéric Lamouroux observing the birds

It is to René Lamouroux, the father of Frédéric - the current director of the ornithological park of Pont de Gau - that we owe the extension and improvements of the site. In 2005, he became the exclusive manager of the 48 hectares of the Ginès pond and made this natural space the ideal complement to the Pont de Gau marsh by installing infrastructures and observation posts that allow you to get as close as possible to the avian fauna without being seen. This diversification of habitats has also made it possible to accommodate more than two hundred species of birds that Frédéric (photo) never gets tired of studying.
