François Saint-James has found the treasure
0
0
François Saint-James, tour guide and lecturer at the Mont since 1989, recently revealed the results of his research into the monks’ treasure. After long hours spent studying the archives, the lecturer announced that he had found the trace of the famous treasure, which had been greatly reduced during the Hundred Years’ War. Consisting of relics, statues, crucifixes, and coins, the treasure is said to be kept in two hiding places: one under the altar of the Saint-Gervais Basilica in Avranches, the other in the Saint-Aubert Chapel at the foot of Mont-Saint-Michel.
