Copie moderne d’une fontaine à boire de type Wallace, installée place Louis Roguet à Orléans.
Le modèle de cette fontaine fait partie des fontaines à boire offertes à la ville de Paris par Richard Wallace, philanthrope, dont le premier exemplaire avait été installé en 1872. L’idée initiale de Sir Wallace avait été de mettre à disposition de la population des points d’eau gratuits, du fait de la destruction de nombreux points d’eau potable lors de la guerre de 1870.
