Following the herd from birth
0
0
The female wildebeest gives birth between November and February after a gestation of 8.5 months. Most of baby wildebeests in a herd are born in a period of 3 weeks to increase their chances of survival against their predators. At birth, the baby only has a few minutes to get up and follow its mother not to be devoured by hyenas. It starts running after 5 minutes and follows the adults from its first day.
