Flamboyant trees, the necessary climatic conditions
2
0
Native to Madagascar and acclimatized throughout the intertropical zone, from the West Indies to India via Africa and the Pacific Islands, the flamboyant trees (Delonix regia) only bloom when the climatic conditions are favorable. In particular, they need a sufficient heat (never less than 44.6°F/7°C) and a dry season but also a good sunshine sheltered from the prevailing winds hence its presence in Nouméa, on the east coast of Grande-Terre.
