Les ardoisières de Trélazé étaient une activité d'extraction de schistes ardoisiers pour produire de l'ardoise. L'entreprise de Maine-et-Loire (région Pays de la Loire), les Ardoisières d'Angers, concentrait jusqu'au début du XXIe siècle la principale production française.
L'ardoise angevine est réputée dans le monde entier, et orne notamment les châteaux du val de Loire, ainsi que maisons et jardins.
