Greater flamingos (Phœnicopterus roseus) are highly sociable and particularly expressive birds that quack. The sounds they emit are reminiscent of those of geese. Their typical flight call is loud and repeated. On land, flamingos produce softer, continuous babbling when feeding and nasal growls during parades and rituals. Greater flamingos have a strong voice from the beginning of their life, and a real hubbub reigns in their colonies.
