Exposed to sunshine and sea winds

The approximately 4,700 to 5,000 olive trees from three successive generations of Château Léoube estate in Bormes-les-Mimosas grow in a mixture of shale and clay by the Mediterranean Sea. Their location provides them with significant sunshine nuanced by sea winds. The humidity of the seaside makes it necessary to start the olive harvest early enough in the season to prevent certain health risks such as the invasion of the olive fly.
