Cutting the ready-made glasses is a delicate operation led by the craftsman using special scissors. The part is annealed so that its edges remain clean and smooth. Once the glass element is separated from the cane, it is necessary to cut the part that blocks the top of the mass. The edge is then sanded and annealed to lose its sharpness. The crafting of crystal glass requires experience, patience, and know-how, three qualities that Lalique's glassmakers are expected to possess.
