The first weeks of the baby baboon's life are critical because it cannot move alone and depends on its mother. The newborn has light pink skin covered with long black hairs and disproportionate ears. For the first months of tis life, it goes through a complete physical and behavioral metamorphosis. At one year, it is only distinguishable from adults by its size.
