When the propagules naturally detach themselves from the mangrove trees at low tide, they fall on the silt and quickly take root allowing the development of the seafront mangrove. At high tide, they float on the water and drift away carried by the sea currents until they find ideal conditions for their establishment and give birth to new mangrove shores.
