First authentic marine of the Cap Corse, Erbalunga was one of the main ports of the island between the 12th and 18th century. At the entrance of the small fishing port, the ruined Genoese tower of Erbalunga is listed as a historical monument. Feet in the water, a small group of charming houses is nestled on the rocky peninsula jutting into the sea, their feet in the water. This picturesque village, nicknamed the nest of painters, has become an inspiration and a den for many artists.
