The hiking trails of the Corsican mountain and coast are intensively frequented, especially in summer, and subject to basic rules to avoid pollution and fire and preserve the plant and animal species. To improve the balance between tourism and preservation, missions of frequentation management are conducted on the GR20 which welcomes around 30,000 hikers each year.
