Spruce, a species from the Jura mountain zone
0
0
Spruce is part of the climax of the mountainous zone of Jura where it appears naturally in a mixture with beech, white fir and sycamore maple. Its frugality allows it, on the other hand, to maintain itself in pure stands where the other species cannot compete with it because the climate is too cold or the soil too poor in mineral salts in the rooting zone.
