The Demoiselles Coiffées of Pontis are among the most remarkable geological formations in the Hautes-Alpes department. Located on the road between Pontis and Le Sauze-du-Lac on the shores of Serre-Ponçon Lake, they actually extend over the two departments of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes. They are accessible from the departmental road that crosses the territory of Sauze-du-Lac in the Hautes-Alpes. An interpretation trail starts from the edge of the road and provides visitors with several observation platforms equipped with explanatory panels.
